The last year of the millenium is finally here, and all of us are lucky enough to experience it. If there's anything that you can be sure of, it's that this year will not be a boring one.
Apple Computer, Inc. has a whole lot to live up to after its great 1998 performance. With a new, mysterious product line waiting in the wings, I have a feeling that Apple will not disappoint. Put on your seat belts, folks. We are in for a crazy ride.

January's Website Pick: Moof! in Mind
 http://thor.he.net/~stories/moof.html
I'm sure that most Apple Wizards readers recognize this
little fellow from print dialog boxes. Did you know that
she's named Clarus (the dogcow) and that she's got an alert sound ("Moof!") dedicated to her, errr, it? Find out how everyone's favorite dogcow came to be by visiting this website.

A New Signature To Spice Up Those E-mail Messages
This sig file reminds me of my office holiday party. Imagine the
setting: A room full of computer engineers, tech support staff, and
administrators all getting jolly together. That's right! Codeheads partying the night away! Well, I got into quite a humorous altercation with a very "jolly" techie about competing operating systems. Nobody got hurt, but you can be sure I told him where to put his "config.sys"!
I don't do .INI, .BAT, or .SYS files. I don't assign apps to files…
I don't configure peripherals or networks before using them…
I have a computer to do all that…

Chock Full of Holiday Spirit: Robert Z.'s Mac On Parade
Last month, I invited my loving readers
to dress up their Macintosh for the holidays
and send me a screenshot. Robert Z.,
robzim@writeme.com , took me up on the
offer. He used a classic Garfield The Cat
image from http://www.garfield.com/ and
the famous Macintosh shareware
program, Holiday Lights by Tiger Tech.
Holiday Lights, which can be found at
http://www.tigertech.com/hlights.html ,
allows one to "string" Christmas and other
holiday lights on your Macintosh desktop. As an added bonus, it can also play music. My favorite part of this screenshot is, of course, the open copy of last month's Apple Wizards.
